I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season this year. As I look forward to 2025, I am excited to see what the new year brings to the Museum of Flight.
Of course, we still have our regular tasks including the maintainers getting the flying aircraft through their inspections, the Howard moved to Rome and to proceed with the restoration. This is such as special addition to the museum.
We also can't forget our docents sharing history, aviation, vehicles and military memorabilia to our visitors. These volunteers play a special roll in increasing awareness to young people who visit the MOF. It is a warm feeling to watch the kids soak up the information and stand in amazement at the aircraft and displays. They could be our future pilots!
From all of us at the museum, we wish you a very Happy New Year!

Important! Winter Maintenance every Saturday at the Rome Airport @ 10am.
There will be a brief at 1000 to delegate work to be done for the day, plus lunch will be provided.
Anyone interested in getting their hands dirty should call or text Frank Fry, Christine Lewis or respond to this email. No experience necessary. many hands make light work but experienced mechanics are also welcome to volunteer.

A big thank you to Dave Biloz and Kerry Tidmore in bringing the C-45 back to Rome from Vidalia. The timing was perfect as the C-45 was cast in a supporting role in an upcoming film. More details can be in the December newsletter! | | | |

Delta Veteran Appreciation Day | |
Delta Airlines is a long-standing supporter of U.S. military members, veterans and their families. On Veteran's Day, they held a special celebration for veterans, with a focus on Vietnam Veterans. According to V.P. Keyra Lynn Johnson, “This year’s event specifically highlighted the experiences of Vietnam Veterans, whose struggles upon returning from war helped raise awareness of the broader challenges faced by many veterans, leading to their recognition as a protected class.” (Link to the event article.)
Navy Veteran, Dave Biloz and Air Force Veteran, Phil Martin took the T-28 Alpha to the Delta Event. Both are also retired Delta pilots and Museum of Flight pilots and life members. The Museum of Flight appreciated the opportunity to honor our Veterans at this special event.

Paulding County Airport has a New Parkway!

I have written about the changes at the airport in prior newsletters. They moved an entire mountain of dirt and now there is a new parkway to the FBO. A special ribbon cutting event was held on November 20th and the flag raising was performed by Veterans Yolanda Newell and Dave Carmichael. | | | |
