Volume 15 Issue 3

Museum Members and Friends,

It is my day as a docent at the museum. It is beautiful outside with perfect weather and I can hear the planes overhead. Such sweet music! We also have a full house of ladies in the office including myself, Director, Christine Lewis and Executive Assistant, Barb Letts.

Preparations for the Gala are in full swing at the nearby Chattahoochee College Aviation Training Academy Hangar. That hangar is just across from the museum's "petting zoo" of static aircraft and vehicles. Dressing up, drinks, dining, and dancing in a spectacular location. Gala #14 is expected to be one of the best Gala events yet.

This month, the newsletter is quite long and some email apps may cut the newsletter short but there will be a link to view the entire message online. Don't miss all this great information!

Until next time!

At the Museum

As reported in the January edition of the Ready Room, The Paulding County Commissioners named the road in front of the Museum of Flight, O'Hare Way. What a special tribute to someone who played such an incredible role in the Museum's beginnings and will be forever remembered as "Wheeler," the man on the move and an incredible friend to so many people.

Donated Bomb Rack

Donated by John Cater (thank you!), this Navy bomb truck is an interesting addition to the museum's collection. The AERO 33B Bomb Truck is a specialized piece of ground support equipment used by the Navy and sometimes by the Air Force and Marines. It's designed for handling, transporting, and loading ordnance—specifically bombs, missiles, and similar heavy stores—onto aircraft on the flight line.
